I’m guilty of this lately… I’m dwelling on where I want to be that I’m not taking gratitude in where I am often enough. It’s causing me to feel fear, insecurity, and self doubt. It’s difficult when who you are isn’t entirely who you want to be yet. So do you accept who you are or do you keep striving to be who you want to be? Why can’t we be who we want to be if we choose acceptance?

I’m often scared that if I accept who I am just as I am I’ll fall into settling and not working towards my goals but what if this is just causing me to be unhappy and my goals are unrealistic/the source of my never feeling enough? I’ve seen many people fall into the trap of using self acceptance as a justification for lack of perseverance, accountability, reliability and ultimately… Just outright lameness with where they’re at in life and who they are. I don’t want to be that way.
